Crunchy chocolate bar

Ingredients

  • 120 g of gluten-free baking mix
  • 60 g of rice flakes or gluten-free puffed cereals (puffed rice, puffed quinoa, etc.)
  • 40g dark or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (optional, for a more intense flavor)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 60 g butter or margarine (or coconut oil)
  • 80 g of honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

- Preparation -

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix: The pastry mix , the puffed cereal, the chips, the cocoa and the salt.

2nd step

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt: The butter (or margarine) with the honey and vanilla until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

Step 3

Pour the hot mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix well until everything is well coated.

Step 4

Spread in a rectangular mold lined with baking paper (approximately 20x20 cm), pressing firmly with a spatula or the back of a glass.

Step 5

Bake for 15 to 18 minutes , until the top is lightly golden. Finally, let cool completely before cutting into bars.
